Lemon-Herbed Steak

 Ingredients (Serves 4)
 
Preparation time: 25 minutes

2 boneless beef top loin steaks, cut 1 inch thick
(approx. 1 pound)
Salt

 Seasonings:

1 large clove garlic, crushed
1 teaspoon grated lemon peel
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon pepper

In small bowl, combine seasoning ingredients; press into both sides of  beef steaks. Place steaks on grid over medium ash-covered coals. Grill uncovered 16 to 18 minutes for medium rare to medium doneness,  turning occasionally. Trim fat from steaks. Carve steaks crosswise into  thick slices; season with salt, as desired, and serve with vegetables.
