Packinghouse

The Saticoy facility in Fillmore, Ca. is the oldest of the four facilities.  Built in 1924 , by Fillmore Citrus Fruit Association (Now Fillmore-Piru Citrus Association) on the corner of “A” street and Sespe Avenue. It was said to have been one of the most completely equipped houses in California. Because of its location on the highway between Santa Paula and Piru the plant could be seen from all angles. In the 1930's lemon Acreage and volume grew to an extent that the Association separated its orange & lemon operations. In 1931 the Facility was formed to handle lemons only. In 1962, Fillmore Lemon Association merged with Saticoy Lemon Association. Since then the Association has completely modernized the facility, designated as Plant No. 2.
